A Poppy for a life – the dead left behind in WW1

This article looks at the subject of how the dead were treated on the battlefields of the First World War. It is a subject that should be covered in order to fully understand the reality of the horrors of all-out war. To be frank, the preparation of the article was quite harrowing and many texts and images were not used  as they are simply too shocking for publication in a journal such as this.
